Infinium turns wasted energy and wasted carbon into products the world already buys. The company is a series of firsts: the first to produce commercial volumes of power-to-liquid eFuels, the first to develop and deploy modular direct gas-to-liquids technology, and the only clean fuels company offering end-to-end licensed solutions at every step of a customer's energy transition.
Infinium Energy™ is one of two platforms under Infinium. The other, Infinium Edge™, applies the same synthetic chemistry and engineering discipline to immersion-cooled data centre infrastructure for AI compute.
What sets the company apart commercially is execution rather than ambition. Customers can buy fuel outright, partner on a project, or license the technology and build their own capacity. Very few companies in alternative fuels offer all three, and none of the others have a multi-year commercial operating record behind the claim.

Infinium is founded
The company is established in Sacramento, California, building on more than a decade of prior work on catalysts, reactors and gas-to-liquid conversion processes.

First institutional backing
AP Ventures and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries invest early, followed by NextEra Energy Resources and Amazon through The Climate Pledge — Amazon coming in as both investor and customer.

SK joins
SK invests, extending the investor base across Asia and setting up the relationships that later support development in Japan and Southeast Asia.

Pathfinder starts up
Project Pathfinder in Corpus Christi begins production — the world's first commercial-scale power-to-liquids eFuels facility, and the first commercial syngas production from waste CO₂ and green hydrogen. American Airlines signs an offtake agreement for eSAF alongside a $75 million equity commitment from Breakthrough Energy Catalyst for Project Roadrunner.

Brookfield commits up to $1.1 billion
Brookfield Asset Management commits up to $1.1 billion through the Brookfield Global Transition Fund, its first direct investment in sustainable aviation fuel, and agrees to lead Infinium's Series C. Borealis signs on for eNaphtha to make low-carbon plastics. IAG signs a ten-year eSAF purchase agreement covering British Airways, Aer Lingus and the group's other carriers.

Series C, Greyrock, and construction on Roadrunner
Infinium closes the first tranche of its Series C led by Brookfield and acquires gas conversion specialist Greyrock Technology, taking the patent portfolio past 250. New investors include the Japan Hydrogen Fund, Development Bank of Japan, JOGMEC, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui & Co., Kajima Ventures, the University of Michigan and RockCreek. Construction begins on Project Roadrunner in May, and HSBC provides project financing in June. Fast Company names Infinium number one in sustainability innovation.

Edge, Atlas, and the first eSAF passenger flight
Infinium launches Infinium Edge™ for high-density AI data centres in January. Project Atlas wins the Sustainable Aviation Buyers Alliance next-generation SAF procurement in April, the same month eFuels SEA launches in Singapore and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank invests. In July, On's CleanCloud becomes the first EVA midsole made from captured carbon at commercial scale, built on Infinium eNaphtha. In August, eSAF from Pathfinder powers the first US commercial passenger flight on electrofuel.
Who is behind this
Infinium's investor base is deliberately weighted toward strategics — power developers, industrial groups, trading houses and customers — because a fuels company scales through their sites, offtake and supply chains as much as through their money. BofA Securities served as placement agent on the Series C.

Come build the plants
Infinium hires process engineers, catalyst chemists, project developers, commissioning and operations staff, and commercial people who can structure a fifteen-year fuel contract. The work is unusual in that it is neither research nor pure construction: it is taking a first-of-a-kind process and making it ordinary.
